Shaun Diaz is a dedicated loan officer and has been working in the mortgage industry for the past two years. Being born and raised in San Diego, California, Shaun is a die-hard fan of The San Diego Padres, a professional American baseball team based in Shaun’s hometown. Although his grandfather served in the military, Shaun took the home-buying route and takes pride in assisting people with their home-buying process. Jessica Zulauf is a Loan Officer with Veterans United of San Diego and is a lifelong resident of the city. Loan Officer Jeremy Morgan (NMLS 2187368) joins the San Diego team with an extensive military history. Throughout his 20 years in the Navy, he was deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan where he worked closely with personnel from almost every branch. Through that experience, Jeremy feels better equipped to help the military families we serve. He also developed skills that translate well to the sometimes complicated home loan process, such as critical thinking and problem solving. After being stationed in several states throughout his service, Jeremy understands the value of having somewhere more permanent to call home. Noah Webber relocated from St. Louis to San Diego, where he began his career with Veterans United Home Loans. Since arriving to the area, he’s been exploring San Diego and spending time outside with his dog Luna –a 2.5 year old Shepherd-Terrier Mix. She is a Kansas native and worked at Veterans United Home Loans, in our home office, as an Account Manager and member of the Veterans United Foundation committee before joining the San Diego Branch in 2015. Loan Specialist Mary Filippone has been in the San Diego area for 7 years, after relocating from Michigan. The granddaughter of a WWII Navy Veteran, Mary knows the importance of compassion in the VA loan process and wants to make it as easy as possible for her homebuyers. Lara was born and raised in San Diego. Her father served in the United States Navy for 20 years and her mother has been a nurse at the VA Hospital in La Jolla for 30 years. Lara was working as a hairstylist for nine years until an opportunity opened up at Veterans United for a Receptionist position. She has since transitioned into the role as our VUSD Office Manager. Lara believes in our mission of “enhancing lives everyday not only for her co-workers but for veterans and their families, not just in the office but in the community. Adam Johnson served in the US Air Force for 8 years, most of which were at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE, before deciding to become a loan officer. In his work as a loan officer, Adam is excited by the sense of accomplishment knowing that he is able to help other veterans get into homes.
