Loan Officer Jeremy Morgan joins us with an extensive military history. Throughout his 20 years in the Navy, he was deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan where he worked closely with personnel from almost every branch. Through that experience, Jeremy feels better equipped to help the military families we serve. He also developed skills that translate well to the sometimes complicated home loan process, such as critical thinking and problem solving. After being stationed in several states throughout his service, Jeremy understands the value of having somewhere more permanent to call home. Southern California is his home, and he returned to the area in 2012. In addition to his role as a Loan Officer, Jeremy fills the role of dad and loves supporting both his sons in their activities. Prior to working as a loan officer, Benji worked as a loan specialist and also in the post-closing side of the mortgage industry, preparing files for the secondary market. He relocated to San Diego with his partner, Laura, from his home state of Missouri. While relocating halfway across the country is no small feat, Benji is diving into what San Diego has to offer. Loan Specialist Mary Filippone relocated to San Diego from Michigan. The granddaughter of a WWII Navy Veteran, Mary knows the importance of compassion in the VA loan process and wants to make it as easy as possible for her homebuyers. Buying a home is a large financial decision, and she prioritizes updating borrowers every step of the way so they feel comfortable during their homeownership journey. Outside of work, Mary and her fiancé love to travel and enjoy the mountains and beaches nearby. They have one cat who traveled with Mary all the way from Michigan (!), and 3 barn cats.
Office Manager Lara Regala was born and raised in San Diego. Her father served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, and her mother has been a nurse at the VA Hospital in La Jolla for 30 years. Lara transitioned into her role as office manager after working as a hair stylist for 9 years. Lara believes in enhancing lives everyday, not only for her coworkers, but for Veterans and their families, too. Outside of work, Lara enjoys spending time with her husband, volunteering at Church, reading, and watching HGTV shows.
