I started this process one evening, while laying in bed, scrolling through Facebook. I was curious but never imagined that the submission of that form would lead me and my family to our beautiful new home. Well where do I start I had a great! time working with Charles he took care of us and we closed on time even after I missed my closing date with another lender. Long story short I was originally working with Charles until my wife and shopped around for a lower interest rate. We started working with Brian Cooke from sunny hills financial (bad mistake) we where lead on for 3 weeks thinking we were going to close on time. Come closing day Brian calls me to inform me I wasn’t approved for the loan amount. I contacted Charles to let him know what had happened and he said he could still get me closed on time. Original closing date was the 24th so luckily I got an extension. Charles and his team did the impossible and got me closed in a matter of 10 days because it was Memorial Day weekend. With that being said if your working with veterans united get to the finish line with them do not take shortcuts because chances are you will go through the same experience as me. I can’t thank Charles enough thank so much my friend.
We entered into this process with very limited understanding of and experience dealing with the financial complexities of buying a home. Through their knowledge and experience, particularly with the VA Loan, Liz and her team enabled us to feel comfortable and confident about our financial decisions which helped to make buying a first home a pleasant experience.
Honestly, I can't say enough about how smooth of a process this was. Going into the mortgage I was a bit skeptical and worried I would be taken for a ride. Jake was able to secure 18 days of escrow which was the main reason they accepted our offer. He then followed up on that by jumping through hurdles and solving every single problem we faced. I will absolutely be recommending Jake & Veterans United to all of my buddies who might be starting the home buying journey. My first call with Jake was in 2021. He continued to follow-up (without being pushy) when the time came to work he worked his magic and now I'm a home owner.
Veterans United is amazing. We didnt know what to expect coming into this process. We always heard it could be rough. But, starting with Susan helping get our credit where it needed to be and ending with Charles (best loan officer ever), Susan, Nicole and Amanda finishing up and closing on our first home in time for Christmas (17 days!!!) the process has been so streamlined and easy. Information flows between everyone seemlessly. I would highly recommend Charles and the whole Veterans United team to anyone.
