I’ve been a loan processor for 15 years in WA state - the process is a bit different there; however, I’ve never seen any of the loan officers so hands on and take initiative as Jason had. It was refreshing and the process was extremely smooth. Without Jason, I honestly think we would have given up on the house between the ball being dropped so many times being the agents, seller, and escrow agent. Veteran’s United process was extremely efficient - we lucked out at finding them after reaching out to a few lenders (all with fantastic reviews) and didn’t feel comfortable with their sales-y vibe. We cannot recommend them enough.
This is my second time working with VU. I bought my first home with VU a few years ago and was clueless about the home buying process and VA loans. VU made it easy and demystified the process for me. This time around, I refinanced my mortgage, with the added wrinkle of being stationed overseas in Japan and 16 hours ahead. Somehow, the VU team still managed to make the process seamless. Little questions and issues popped up, but my team and especially my loan officer Mark Manos were incredibly attentive and reliable throughout the month+ long process. I looked into some of the big banks and lenders and I’m confident that no one else could have gotten me the rate I got, and absolutely no one else could have provided the same level of support that VU provided. As an active duty service member stationed far from home, VU really helped make me feel like we were on the same page the entire time and that my needs were their highest priority.

Veterans United has a very responsive website and a well established process for electronically signing and viewing documents. It was extremely easy for us as buyers to navigate the home buying process using the easy “To-Do List” that kept track of required actions by us, and the home buying articles that thoroughly explained the process we went through. Dan was my Loan specialist when I refinance my mortgage. He was professional, sincere, and most of all he was transparent. He always answer my call anytime of the day and replied to my message quickly. If he is not sure of the answer, he tells you that he is not sure and he comes back with an accurate information. He gives update regularly. Honesty and transparency is a big thing for me - to trust a person - and he showed that characteristics throughout our transaction. I would definitely recommend him.
